Snow Day!

Hey Darlings,

So as you may know, I live in Minnesota. We just got a call that we won't have school today because we got so much snow. At least it is for snow instead of cold temperatures. This is our like 7th snow day and all the rest have been because of the cold. Rember when I said we "just got the call?" Well right now it is about 5:40 a.m. I have to get up at 5:30 to catch my 6:30 school bus. So, I was already up and dressed whan the call came - totally awake. Don't get me wrong a snow day is great but the schools should have told us last night so I could sleep (I love to sleep :D )
You are probably wondering why in the world I am telling you all of this. Well, when you are tired excited and frusterated, what better thing to do then tell someone! Hopefully you don't think I am to crazy. I have only had like 7 hours of sleep.

Lucky Dolly's - they are still sleeping away!

I hope you got some good sleep last night! Have you had any snow days before? How many?

Olympic Pride Hair Style

Hey Darlings,

Here is a cute hairstly to show Olympic pride. Since I live in the United States of America I used red, white, and blue colors. But this craft is totally adaptable to any country. You could even try doing the colors of the rings on the Olympic flag! Okay, let's get started!

Supplies:
Ribbon, scissors, ruler, tiny hair clips, and ponytail binders

Start out by measuring your doll's hair and cutting ribbon the according lendth. My doll's hair was about 10 inches. Cut 6 peices. I did 2 of each color.

I'm going to do 2 braids on the side of my doll's head so I split her hair in half in the back then I split it into 3 sections for each part of the braid. I clipped in a ribbon at the top of each of those 3 sections.

Then just braid!

Secure with a ponytail binder, remove the clips, and you are done!

You can re-use the ribbons as hairbows . . .

  . . . or as ponytail tassles.

This is one of my favorite pics. I love the sparkly background!

I hope you liked it! If you try it out send me a picture to me at the e-mail address under the "Contact Me" page.

A Little Bit of American Girl Gossip

Hey Darlings,

So, don't get me wrong, gossip isn't nice but this is really amazing news!

I heard that according to American Girl's face book page, they are bringing back Samantha!!! How fantastic is that?!?!? As you can tell by my number of exclamation points, I am crazy excited! I wonder if Nellie will come too?
On a sadder note, American Girl has not made this official by any means but there is a roumer that they will be taking away the best friends. (ie. Ivy, Ruthie, etc.) I really hope they don't though. I espeially like Ruthie.
Goodness, so many changes!

If you haven't yet make sure to go to American Girl and check out their new spring release. Oh, and make sure to share what you think about this exciting news and what historical characters you like best!

Clarisse's Closet

Hey Darlings,

I just stumbled on this really cool doll blog:

http://clarissescloset.wordpress.com/

Almost every day at Clarisse's Closet there is a new post of a super adorable outfit that Clarisse has put together. She even tells you where all the peices came from. So, if you love them as much as I do, you can purchse them. Watch out though, some of my favorite peices can't be bought because Clarisse made them herself! This girl is crazy talented - so check it out!

What I Think of Isabelle

Hey Darlings,

I realized that I haven't shared my thoughts on 2014 Girl of the Year Isabelle yet, so here they are:

Isabelle is a very beautiful doll. I especially love her eye color!

When it comes to mix and match outfits, this is one of my favorite, minus the bow on the leggings

This studio is so adorable and detailed! I am not really a fan  of Isabelle's dress though. It has to much going on. Her cat is super cute!

This outfit is alright as well. I don't really like the skirt. It is okay but personally is a little tacky. It may be better in person. I really like the bar set though!

I don't like her pj's either. They just aren't very cute. Again, it my just be the pictures, the pj's may be better in person. I also don't like the high prices. Over all Isabelle's collection is not high on my wish list. I think if it had more "everyday" clothes instead of just ballet attire I would like it more.
Please share your opinions and don't be afraid to contradict my thoughts!

American Girl Magazines

Hey Darlings,

I finally got more memory space on my camera. (Yay!) So now my blogging routine can go back to normal.
The other day I was going through all of my old AG magazines because my mom says I have to many and need to throw them out. I didn't realize that I have so many!

I realize this is very large but I wanted you to be able to see them all.

SCut off at the top are Christmas magazines. The one on the left still has Samantha and Nellie in it! The one on the right is with Kirstin! Starting from the top left to right is every catalogue from March 2010 on with the exception of September 2011.(I'm not sure what happened to that one.) The big Christmas ones are on the very right. Also I never got January 2014. I may need to re-register.

Do you have any American Girl Magazines?
